Kriti Sanon, debuted with the movie Nenokkadine besides Mahesh Babu in Telugu and soon she acted with Tiger Shroff in Heropanti and became a Bollywood actress. Now, she is getting opportunities in Hindi Industry one after the other and she is looking to prove herself as one of the top actresses there.
She is coming with her next film, Bareilly ki Barfi and in the movie, she plays a small town girl who smokes and breaks into a jig. Such girls in our society are looking down by many and Kriti wants to question that notion. She said in a recent interview, " The bar set for good girls in our society is too narrow and I want to borden that. Smoking is not a good habit and I don't endorse it. But that doesn't mean that girls who smoke are characterless."
She explained further, " The whole point of this movie and my character of Bitti in my upcoming movie, Barielly ki Barfi is to question, the notion of the people who judge girls too fast in comparison to men. A guy who smokes doesn't become characterless but a girl is declared to be one. It is wrong to be fond of body art, tattoos and if a girl breaks into a jig that doesn't mean she is vulnerable. I really want this notion to change." Aishwini Iyer Tiwari is directing the movie, while it is written by Dangal fame, Nitesh Tiwari.
