Movie is about a young Anbu, born in 1980 rising as a don in North Madras a.k.a Vada Chennai. He wants to become a sportsman but events push him towards becoming a gangster.
The first part of the planned trilogy released now. Dhanush as Anbu lived in his character and his performance is a highlight. Not just him Aishwarya Rajesh, Andrea, director Ameer, Samuthirakani did a brilliant job.
Krishna is also exceptional in the movie. Even though some parts of the movie do lag, the overall feel that Vetrimaaran delivers is very good and impactful.
We have to wait and see how the box office returns will be for the movie as more massy film, like Sandakozhi 2 is coming on 18th October.
