Heavy Competition For Unseason February Also?
X
Three films released on August 11 this year, in competition with each other. Among the three films, only Rana film 'Nene Raju Nene Mantri' was able to recover its investment. 'Jaya Janaki Nayaka' received positive talk but collections were not on par with the talk. 'LIE' became a disaster even though it didn't get the negative talk. If the three films had an individual release, all the films would have registered better collections at the box office.

If it is Sankranthi season, the collections will be good irrespective of the competition. But the situation will not be same for the other seasons. Even if two films compete at the box office, one will eat away the share of the other film. The success rate of the Telugu films is very low but the number of films is increasing with each passing year. These developments are making it difficult for the filmmakers in getting a sufficient number of theaters and the comfortable release date. Left with no choice, the makers are getting ready for release amidst competition.

Five films are scheduled for the release on Republic Day weekend. 'Bhaagamathie'.. 'Achari America Yatra'.. 'Manasuku Nachindi'.. 'Vishwaroopam-2'.. 'Abhimanyudu'. Two films 'Awe'.. 'Chalo' slated for release on February 2 and a third movie may also join the race. For the February 9, Varun Tej 'Tholi Prema'.. Bellamkonda Srinivas 'Sakshyam'.. Nikhil film 'Kirrak Party' are getting ready for the release. Mohan Babu film 'Gayathri' also joined February 9 race.

Usually, February is considered as an unseason for movie releases. But we can see a huge competition for release dates in February also. Even though some of the filmmakers booked their berths early, they are unable to escape the competition.
