SS Rajamouli approached Ajay Devgan for a pivotal role in 'RRR'. The Senior Hero, however, turned down the offer straightaway even though he is appreciate of films such as 'Eega' and 'Baahubali'.
Seems like, Ajay Devgan isn't interested in South Indian Films. Few months ago, He turned down the role of Antagonist role in 'Indian 2' directed by Shankar.
Grapevine in the Industry is that Akshay Kumar could be approached by RRR Team after rejection from Ajay Devgan. Akshay might accept the offer if his role is as good as that of Pakshi Raja in '2.O'. If the Bollywood Khiladi signs the biggie, It will be the second time he will be playing villain in a Southern Flick.
Akshay Kumar's participation in #RRR increases its range by a huge margin. It will become easy for Rajamouli to market the film in the Hindi-dominant Markets if everything falls in place.
