Mahanati movie is a sensation. Director Nag Ashwin's taking, Vyjayanti banner's production values, Keerthy Suresh and Dulquar Salman's outstanding performances as Savitri and Gemini Ganesan, Samantha and Vijay Devarakonda in supporting roles worked out together to make the movie a super hit.

But other than the direction, acting, production, cinematography and script writing, music also played a vital role in the success of the film. The story which started even before the Independence ended in 1980 after so many decades. The attractive background music is like a cherry on the top for Mahanati movie.
