He requested, Telangana IT minister, Kalvakuntla Taraka Ramarao, to look into the matter of piracy and ban a website, Movirulz, that is hosting the latest pirated prints of newly released Telugu films.
He tweeted,
"@KTRTRS .. we request ur immediate intervention in taking severe action against this particular website called "movierulz" which is a major threat to TFI.. Please instruct concerned authorities to lock these people up for good and save us . Here's is the evidence sir.. https://t.co/r1tG5rDPKd"
As the movie piracy as become a Huge problem for film Industry, producers are getting ready to sell their movies to online streaming sites like Amazon that are ready to stream movies online within a month or 29 days.
So, Kona Venkat asked KTR to look into this matter seriously and help him. He provided evidence too for the website being a host of piracy.
