Devi Sri Prasad is an occasional lyricist and he writes few songs in albums of directors, who give him much freedom. Trivikram Srinivas gave him lot of freedom when making S/O Satyamurthy and that made him try writing lyrics for a song.

Super Macchi, the song he wrote became a huge success and Devi revealed why he wrote the song. He said," I wrote few lines as dummy lyrics very casually for the tune. Trivikram garu liked it and made me write full song!"

He said that he sent the song to Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry, whom he takes as his guru and the Padma awardee praised his lines, it seems.

DSP said, "Seetharama Sastry garu wanted to write an essay about the song as he liked the casual tone and rhyming in the words. He asked me how could I come up with lines like that.

Later he said he will write a big essay on how to write a simple yet strong celebratory mass song taking my song as reference. I requested him to not do so and I was happy that he liked my work so much!"

Music composer even said that Seetharama Sastry expressed desire to write such fun songs which he stopped writing after listening to his song.
