South India Super Star Rajiniknath films enjoy nation-wide craze. Holiday will be declared for some software companies on the release day and that shows his unmatchable stardom. The expectations on his latest film '2.0' are touching sky high. It is the most expensive film made in India till now. Unless the film collects a minimum of Rs.500 crore share it can't be referred as a hit and it is not an easy task.
If the movie gets a solo release in all the languages then only it will have the chances of registering huge collections. So the filmmakers have to choose a long weekend for the release. It was supposed to hit the screens on Republic Day weekend but they have postponed it to Tamil New Year. There is a talk that the movie is slated for release on Apri 27. This release date has created ripples in the Tollywood because Mahesh Babu-Koratala film 'Bharath Ane Nenu' scheduled for the same date. Allu Arjun's 'Naa Peru Surya' was also scheduled for the same date a few months ago.
As the release date of '2.0' created confusion, the producers of 'Bharath Ane Nenu' and 'Naa Peru Surya' reportedly met Sunil Narang who is releasing '2.0' in Telugu to get some clarity on the release date. When they contacted Lyca Productions they have reportedly confirmed April 27 as the release date. So, both the stars decided to make way for the Rajini film.
As they got confirmation on '2.0' release, the producers of Mahesh film decided to prepone the film to April 13 and the producers of Allu Arjun film are planning for a May release. On the whole, two big ticket films in Telugu had to change their release date to make way for Rajini film.
