Majili Not Gonna Join $1 Million Club

Majili' is all set to become a blockbuster after collecting a share of Rs 26 crore and Gross of Rs 44 crore by the end of first week. This is a massive achievement for a feature film with theatrical rights valued at Rs 22 crore.
This Naga Chaitanya and Samantha-starrer is doing exceptionally well in the Telugu States. Over Rs 21 crore share was generated in AP and Telangana itself. The same response wasn't witnessed in the Overseas market. Second Weekend revenues in USA were just ordinary. 'Majili' raked in $718k so far and it might cross the $800k-mark by the end of full run. Possibility of crossing $1 Million has been ruled out already.
Generally, Films such as 'Majili' will do extremely well in Overseas and joining One Million Dollar should be a cakewalk. For some reasons, This flick of Akkineni Couple hasn't generated as much revenue as it deserves. May be, Several NRIs are pre-occupied with election stuff and couldn't cater time for the new release.
Inspite of not reaching the milestone in USA, 'Majili' will remain as a very special film for Naga Chaitanya and Samantha. Movie Lovers wish to see them share screen space together again and again.
