While talking about the newcomers in the industry, Manoj Bajpai observed a clear division between the newcomers of mainstream cinema and parallel cinema. He said that newcomers have a different requirement in commercial cinema. They are expected to build their physique, sport six-pack abs and look good. Acting is their last requirement.
On the other hand, he said that there are other newcomers who are trying to be part of meaningful cinema which is referred as parallel cinema. He said that there is a lot of talent and he comes across such aspiring actors daily. They are ready to experiment and be part of different stories.
What Manoj said appears to be true with the Telugu films as well. Many newcomers who entered Telugu films in the recent pas has six pack abs but they have minimum acting skills.
