Medium And Small Films Rally For Last Week Of May!
X
May is typically a slow season for films in Telugu. Even though it guarantees good returns due to holiday season, producers find it more fruitful to release their films in April and September mostly.

Even though films release in every month of the year, most big films release in January, April and September months, as Telugu people celebrate big festivals and Summer holidays during the time.

May is seen as a three week or two week fruitful month, as the last week of the month is dedicated to people returning from vacations and trying to re-join their work, schools mostly.

With the syllabus and competition ever increasing, we see family audience preferring to go to movies only after schools have re-opened in June. Hence, we see few family targeted films working out really well in June, July period, while Big Films again take over the lucrative Sravana Maasam and Dussehra period.

But quite opposite to this popular belief and trend, medium budget and small films are rallying big time for 25th May date.

Naa Nuvve, Ammammagari Illu and Nela Ticket are coming next week. While 25th-27th, May, appears to be a crowded weekend, we have to wait and see, how will these films fare.

For Naga Shourya, it is important that other than Chalo, he gets a good hit with Ammammagari Illu also, to continue a positive run at box office after a long lean patch.

Nandamuri Kalyanram has been trying to deliver a big hit from long time and with Naa Nuvve, if he can deliver a decent romantic hit, then his market will be more versatile for him to attempt a big budget movie.

Mass Maharaja, Ravi Teja needs his Nela Ticket to work for him as well. Even though he won't have to worry about his immediate future, a hit with this film, will decrease pressure on Srinu Vaitla, who is already under immense pressure with three back-to-back disasters. Ravi Teja's next film is directed by him and it is titled, Amar Akbar Anthony.

So, all these three films are important in their own right and we have to wait and see, which one will be able to survive a massive hurricane like Mahanati, at box office for the dull period and a bad season for Medium and Small budget movies.
