This time, He is testing his luck with solo-hero flick 'Mental Madhilo' directed by debutante Vijay Athreya and produced by Raj Kandukuri of 'Pelli Choopulu' fame. The positive buzz kept building after the release of theatrical trailer. Let's see what its going to be…

Synopsis:

When his Parents decide to get him married, Aravind Krishna meets a girl by name Svecha (Nivetha Pethuraj) and they become closer. This will complicate the situation as he is forced to choose one among them. Whom does he favours forms rest of the tale!

Performances:

Casting Sree Vishnu in the role of Aravind Krishna is the best aspect about 'Mental Madhilo'. Anybody could hardly find another Actor who can deliver much better output than him for this particular role. The innocence and honesty which could be seen in Sree Vishnu will make the audience fall in love with his character. He is exceptional as a confusion master, be it body language, dialogue delivery and expression.

Heroine Nivetha Pethuraj is very impression. Viewers connect with her character instantly. Even the other heroine, Amrutha, does a fine job. Shivaji Raja has done a memorable role after 'Nene Raju Nene Mantri' & he tickles the funny bone. Raj Madiraju, Kireeti and Anitha Chowdary has done well in their respective roles.

Pros:

Casting

Concept

Feel-Good Factor

Cons:

Drop of pace in Second Half

Technicalities:

Technicians have made good contributions to make 'Mental Madhilo' a lovable movie. Soulful Compositions of Prashant Vihari are an asset. Songs and Background Score appear refreshing. Camera Work by Vedaraman is impressive. Producer Raj Kandukuri deserves a pat on his back for coming forward to support a Debutante Director who have a noval concept. Production Values are good enough. Director Vivek Athreya choose a wafer-thin storyline but succeeded in engaging the audience till the very end. He left a mark of his own, be it characterizations, dialogues and narration. This talented youngster seems to be yet another representative of new-age cinema.

Analysis:

'Mental Madhilo' is a best example to say good films can be made with simple stories. At some point in our lives, There will be a situation where you will be confused to pick one among the many options. Each and every person might have experienced confusion at different stages of their lives. This is why audience won't take much time to travel with the lead character. Kudos to Director Vijay Athreya for narrating the point he selected in an entertaining and thought-provoking manner.

The best part about 'Mental Madhilo' is that not only the concept was used for humour but also for generating a heart-warming emotion. Honesty with which cast & crew made this project could be seen on the screen. Initially, Ample humour is being generated with the confusion concept. After reaching the half-way stage, Viewers will get to experience the beautiful emotion in the subject.

Every scene in the movie looks so natural. Be it characters, dialogues and situation, They appear very familiar and there is hardly any scope for melodrama. All the main characters in 'Mental Madhilo' are so unique - A Man who gets confused all the time, A Young Woman who have full clarity on her life & Another Girl who puts a smiling face despite going through a lot of pain. Even the manner in which Director established the traits of each character is praise worthy.

First Half of 'Mental Madhilo' is very entertaining. The twist in the Interval Bang is shocking to some extent. A bit of more time was taken to establish the emotional bond between Aravind & Renu. So, The Second Half isn't as racy as the first. Climax has been executed so well & it makes audience leave the theatres with a positive feeling. Overall, It's a film which will remain in your hearts for a long time.

Bottom Line: Just go for it without any Confusion!
