NT Rama Rao had Eight Sons and Four Daughters. There was a bit of criticism on the Legendary Personality for having 12 children inspite of being well-educated and achieving a respectable position at a very young age.
In 'NTR Mahanayakudu', An attempt was made by the Makers to convey why NT Rama Rao have altogether 12 children. NTR talks about the greatness of Basavatarakam in a sequence and how she lived for him all through her life. The Matinee Idol cites lacks of family planning in those days and the mindset of people considering children as their asset as the major reasons.
NTR disclosed his Wife telling him that she would continue conceiving as long as she can. When NTR thought of not having children anymore, Basavatarakam kept on having children due to the belief that her first son Ramakrishna will be born again.
Showing every aspect of NTR in a positive light became a biggest drawback for the biopic. Will Balayya & Co., learn anything from these setbacks?
