US Telugu Cinemas obtained the Overseas Rights of 'Jai Lava Kusa' for a whooping Rs 8.5 crore. It's still a good price though the Makers expected a lot more from this Territory.
Actually, Two Other Distribution Houses have competed for 'Jai Lava Kusa' rights. While Great India Films offered Rs 7 crore, Other Distribution Firm lobbied for the rights by quoting Rs 7.5 crore. In the end, US Telugu Cinemas struck the deal with NTR Arts.
Initially, NTR Arts quoted a mammoth price of Rs 16 crore for 'Jai Lava Kusa' Overseas Rights. Due to the recent slump in the Overseas Market, None of the Distributors dared to take the risk. An Outright Price of Rs 8.5 crore was finalized after Producer Kalyan Ram held discussions with US Telugu Cinemas. Which means, The Distribution House will have to take complete responsibility even if the film's BO performance isn't up to the expectations. Agreement will be signed by both the parties Today.
