Nagababu convened a press conference on Wednesday regarding the Casting Couch issue and bad propaganda being done against the Telugu Film Industry. He answered each and every aspect in detail. Have a look at what he said...
CASH Committee: 'MAA, Film Chamber and Producers Council has formed CASH Committee to address the issue. We don't have any mantras to change everything overnight. You should give some space...it's a time taking process'.
Casting Couch: 'The way Industry has been projected so bad. I am against Casting Couch and hasn't allowed any such things during my production. Exploitation of women is happening somewhere in the Industry. But, how care is it to blame the entire Industry? 90 percent people in the Industry are good, only 10 percent could be bad. Even we respect women. Why would I introduce My Daughter as heroine, If I don't respect Industry?'. Most of them present during the press conference appreciated Mega Brother with claps when he made this comment.
Coordinator System: 'The issue is regarding Company Artists who don't have a fixed pay. I will ensure there are no middleman (coordinators) when it comes to payments. Every issue happening in the Industry mayn't come to our notice. Whenever a woman faces any harassment, She should bring the matter to the notice of that film's Producer irrespective of whether she have membership or not'.
Work Environment: 'I am doing my best to bring a system whether Junior Artists/Women Workers will be provided Toilets & Changing Rooms at the location. Not even 1 percent money spent for a film is required to make these arrangements'.
Demand To Cast Only Telugu Artists: 'If not for Telugu Artists, To whom we are offering characters. Only for Heroine roles and few villain characters, We are importing Actors from other states in the country. MAA could request Producers to offer chances to Telugus but it can't force or issue an order. Why because, Nobody would compensate the loss if a Producer incurs loss. There are many Producers who are risking their lives. Passing an order to offer roles for only Telugu Artists isn't not possible. Any Indian...women & men in particular could work anywhere in the country. Opposing it is violating the constitution'.
Insulting Film Industry: 'These days, Every body has been speaking in a degrading manner. Are we making only bad films? They say people are badly influenced by the violence and other elements in films. Then, Why don't people get influenced by the good things shown in the movies? If your Organisations are great, Even our Industry is great, thousands of people are dependent on it and many great films are made here. Censor will take care of violence and sex in movies. What is the need for you to blame the Industry?'.
Sexual Favours A Must For Offers?: 'Few Women appearing in Media has been projecting as if only those who offer sexual favours would survive. There are many women who have come to the Industry in a respectable manner and lead their lives in a respectable manner. You should disrespect anyone for your personal gains. Don't try to ruin the Industry on which lakhs of people are dependent'.
Targeting Pawan Kalyan: 'Kalyan needn't take the initiative to solve every issue. He went into people for a good cause...There are 100 issues in politics. I am enough to deal with this one issue, Kalyan needn't step in. What's wrong did Pawan Kalyan spoke? Is there anything wrong in asking the victim to file police complaint and move court? That's a meaningless argument! I don't understand what happened to the conscience of people backing such a person. If you try to throw mud on others, your hands will get dirty'.
Advice To Media: 'Malcolm X who led the American Black Movement once said Politically-Motivated Media can project an Innocent and Good Man as Cunning & Dangerous Rascal. I appeal Telugu Media not to do such things. Please don't go such things for TRPs. If Media too gets corrupt, Nobody could save the common man. People aren't so innocent. If you open Youtube, You could see the kind of opinion People have on channels'.
Sri Reddy Using Unparliamentary Words against PK: 'I was very angry. Even before we could react, Many women from the Industry and outsider, common man offered a befitting reply. We will bear even if we are insulted. Pawan Kalyan keeps saying only the stronger individual can bear not the weakest. They complain about trolls..who could stop public from reacting? Three months ago, Pawan himself appealed nobody to react even if anybody insults him. Should Kalyan repeat it every time when there is an issue. If they have proofs against anyone, let them approach the police directly...what is the need for playing cat & mouse game? Just because you have a smartphone and media which offers money for debates/sensational stuff, Don't target us. If fans troll you, Are we responsible for it? Don't take it for granted. If Kalyan does anything wrong, He have the courage to admit it publicly. He is only focusing on people's cause...didn't even spoke with me for the past 6-7 months. Being a No.1 Star, He has gone into the people. You can criticize him politically, why do you target his personal life? Don't treat Kalyan's patience as his inability.
