Recently Tollywood power couple Samantha and Naga Chaitanya clashed at the box office with their movies 'U-turn' and 'Sailaja Reddy Alludu' hitting the screens on the same day. Though Chay's film garnered bad reviews, Samantha's 'U-Turn' became a hit.
Talking about this at the audio launch event of 'Devadas' one of the lead actors, Nagarjuna Akkineni stated what Sam felt that day. He said that he had never saw wife and husband releasing their movies on the same day before. "Samantha became sad after looking at 'Sailaja Reddy Alludu' reviews and I told her things will get set by evening. And they did. Then she asked me, 'Mama, U-Turn got very good reviews but box office bell is not ringing'. I told her things will settle by Sunday and it happened. September month is ours because my father Akkineni Nageswara Rao's birthday is on September 20th. His blessings will always be upon us. So, there are no worries," said Nagarjuna.
Sam and Chay are likely to go on a vacation soon to celebrate the success of their films and post their return, they will take the shooting of their upcoming untitled movie under the direction of Shiva Nirvana to the sets.
