Nagarjuna to play Karna?

Mohanlal announced his big budget film, Mahabharata with 1000 crores production cost. The actor will be seen as Bheema and the movie is based on the novel written by MT Vasudevan Nayar. Shrikumar Menon is directing the movie. Latest we heard is that Nagarjuna could be a part of the movie.
The actor himself revealed and confirmed this long standing rumour in his press interaction. He said, "My next film after RGG, could be Mahabharata and I was asked by the writer Vasudevan Nayar to play, Karna role in the movie. I'm aware of Shrikumar's efforts to make the movie from past four years and I got this offer, two years ago. Recently, too Vasudevan asked me once again for my dates. I told him I will be a part of the movie if my character is also given enough importance and the writer said, it will be a prominent role. I'm waiting for the project to shape up completely and then I can share more details about it."
Well, few other big names like Kamal Hasan, Amitabh Bachchan are also being heard to be part of the cast of this huge film. Can we know confirm that Nagarjuna is a part of the movie or should we wait for the official announcement from producers like the actor said himself?
