Naveen Vijay Krishna (S/O Senior Naresh) is known to the Industry folks as a promising Editor. The Acting bug bit him finally and he made his debut as Hero with 'Nandini Nursing Home'. Even the Director and Producer of the movie are debutantes. Let's see whether these first-timers have left a mark of their own or not...

Synopsis:

He, however, maintains distance from her due to the bad experience he had in the past with his lover Amulya (Shravya).

Performances:

Naveen Vijay Krishna appears pretty confident and performs with good ease. Its really hard to believe that its just his debut movie because he owned the character so well. Audience will connect with the protagonist instantly as there are no unnecessary build-ups we usually see in the launch pads of Star Kids. Although his looks were average, Naveen makes a good impression with his performance.

Shravya and Nithya does a decent job. None of the Heroines impress with Glamour and that's going to be a weak element.

Vennela Kishore, Sapthagiri and Shakalaka Shankar have tickled the funny bone. Rest of the actors have done justice to their roles.

Pros:

Naveen Vijay Krishna

Comedy

Interval Bang

Climax Twist

Cons:

Screenplay

Illogical Scenes

Lack of Glam Quotient

Technicalities:

Music composed by Achu is fine. The song 'Ninne Choostunna' & Theme Music used for Background Score were appreciable. Rest of the songs were okay. Cinematography by Dasarathi Sivendra could have been better. Production Values weren't good enough. The film was shot with a limited budget, less number of cast & crew and permitted locations. Director PV Giri has dealt the subject very well. A special mention for his command on comedy. He should have worked more on the Screenplay to make the movie gripping till the very end.

Analysis:

Firstly, Naveen Vijay Krishna deserves all the praise for choosing a content-driven subject like 'Nandini Nursing Home' as his launch pad. Usually, Star Kids were launched with Mass Subjects having Hero introduction song/fight & build-ups irrespective of the image. Naveen didn't follow the trend, instead tried to unveil the Actor in him with his maiden flick.

'Nandini Nursing Home' is a simple entertainer that doesn't have any scope for going overboard. It would serve as a time-pass fare if audience doesn't worry much about the logic. Even though there are horror/suspense elements in the movie, Focus is mainly on the Comedy Blocks and ample entertainment is guaranteed. Vennela Kishore as Thief who pretends to be in coma fearing Cops, Saptagiri as the guy who runs his Business in hospital and Shakalaka Shankar as Cunning Compounder produce rib-tickling comedy. Even the combination scenes of Naveen with all the Comedians have shaped-up well.

Director lost the grip on the actual story with too much concentration on the Comedy quotient. After the serious turn in the Interval, He failed to keep the narration in the latter half gripping enough. Few illogical scenes hamper the overall impact & even the pace gets dropped in the Second Half. The song in the pre-climax is unnecessary.

Flashback Episode is simple and good justification is being given towards the end. Climax twist is thrilling and completely unexpected. Overall, 'Nandini Nursing Home' has few short-comings but it offers good dose of comedy to make it a time-pass fare.

Bottom Line: Impressive debut by NVK!
