Every actor wants fame more than anything. Because with fame, they can gain respect and more movie offers automatically. Awards are like boosts for them. When the state government is organising an event to felicitate such actors, does any actor has the courage to reject an award?
Israel government decided to appreciate Oscar winner Natalie Portman by felicitating her. They planned to organise the event in their holy place Jerusalem. But Portman gave a shock by stating that she is not going to attend the event and she does not want any felicitation. As per the reports, the reason behind this is because of the situations near the Gaza border. As some are talking negatively about her decision, recently Natalie Portman given her explanation about why she is rejecting the award.
She stated that she is deeply distressed by the act of burning 11 disarmed people alive and Portman felt that it is not correct for the government to respond like this. As she does not want to divert the country's attention by receiving the award. Her courage sure is worth appreciating and we can say that no heroine can ever do such thing.
