Arjun Reddy sure is one of the path-breaking movies in Tollywood. The movie not only became a sensational hit in the industry but also brought star status to director Sandeep Vanga and the lead actor Vijay Deverakonda. Now, the Hindi remake of this blockbuster is soon to go on sets.

Rumours broke out that Bollywood hero Arjun Kapoor is going to play the title role in the film. But it is now official that Shahid Kapoor is playing the lead. The actor who recently scored a hit with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus Padmaavat is all set to become Arjun Reddy and start the shooting. Sources revealed that the film shooting will go on floors from July onwards and the team is hunting for a female lead in the film. The locations in India and foreign are finalised for the film.

Sandeep Vanga is marking his Hindi directorial debut with this film whereas Murad Khetani and Ashwin Warde are bankrolling this project. Though the bold content in the film led some controversies, in the end, the movie got rave reviews. Let's see if Shahid can spell the same magic by entering into the shoes of Arjun Reddy.
