Agnyaathavaasi' stood as one of the most disastrous films ever made in the Telugu Film Industry. Not only the Distributors & Exhibitors, Even the Producer & Director incurred hefty losses as they compensated a part of the damage incurred by the stakeholders.
These days, Television Premieres of Blockbusters are planned within 2-3 months after the release. Contrary to the trend, 'Agnyaathavaasi' was screened almost after 10 months as if it's a classic. Disastrous Box Office result & Planning TV Premiere at wrong time worked against the Pawan Kalyan-starrer. 'Agnyaathavaasi' managed to get only 5.3 TRP...that's below par for a Star Hero's film. 'Spyder' which is another BO Disaster managed to attain much better rating.
Satellite Rights of 'Agnyaathavaasi' were obtained by Gemini TV for Rs 19.5 crore prior to the release. TV Premiere planned two months after the release couldn't draw attention from the brands. Finally, The screening was held after people forgot about the film completely.
