We Have Harveys Everywhere: Priyanka Chopra

Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein name has been grabbing the headlines of the world media for the past few days. It is known that there were allegations on Harvey that he has abused several heroines who worked for his films. One by one, everybody is revealing the harrowing abusive incidents thy met with Harvey Weinstein.
Ever since Harvey Weinstein episode started hitting the headlines, #MeToo campaign started on the social media where the women across the globe started sharing their bitter experiences in the hands of abusers. At this juncture, Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra made indirect comments on Bollywood. She said that people like Harvey are not confined to only Hollywood, but there are Harveys everywhere.
When she was asked whether she had faced any sexual harassment, she replied that "It wasn't a problem restricted only to film industry. It's about a man's domination on women. It's not even about sex. I think that it is more about power, status. I think that it's about taking power, feeling powerful and putting a woman in her place. A woman is always threatened to take away her work. People like Harvey are all over. In the film industry, they will form 'Big boys club' and boycott the particular woman who doesn't go by their rules. The women will be left alone in such situations."
Even though Priyanka didn't directly comment about Bollywood, analysts are commenting that these statements are about the casting couch which is prevalent in the film industry. Several heroines have been vocal about the casting couch issue in the recent past.
