Real reason for Magadheera Controversy!
X
Magadheera is a film that propelled the stamina of Telugu Cinema Industry. It opened up new avenues and also made it evident that failing to bring audience in large numbers to theatres is the major issue behind Telugu Cinema's bad fate. It clearly showed the true potential of the market of Telugu Cinema and every hero aspired to beat the numbers collected by the movie. Today, Baahubali tripled on that amount and even became an Indian Industry hit, but for Rajamouli Magadheera is the real stepping stone for this huge success and confidence.

Even with such huge hit, there were few differences between the producer Allu Aravind and director, SS Rajamouli. Even though both of them were close, Rajamouli did not attend the hundred days function and the issue became a controversy. The director cleared the air regarding what happened during the time for him to do so.

He said, "I always felt humiliated when people celebrate fake success. In our Cinema Industry, due to ego clashes between two communities, fanatics demand such malpractice and even producers too adhere due to peer pressure. While I can understand I can't make peace with it. During Simhadri, the movie became a blockbuster and ran in record 100 days centres genuinely. I was happy about that but for record number of 175 days centres the producers and fans had to drag the movie in several centres.

" I felt highly disrespectful as that meant that we're buying the success and faking it, while even being genuine will not bellitle the range. So, before starting Magadheera I asked Allu Aravind, the producer to not adhere to such malpractice and he too agreed. But there are several fake and dragged centres for 100 days of the movie. I really got upset about it and asked him about it. He told about the fan pressure and his difficulties. Even though I understand him, I couldn't accept it, so stayed away. Even today, I respect him and that matter for me ended there!"
