Box-Office: Only 10% For 'Petta'

South superstar Rajnikanth has recently come up with a commercial film 'Petta'. Though the release date of Tamil version is already announced a long time ago, the Telugu version created so many speculations.
The Dubbing rights were sold for 15 crores and Ashok vallabhaneni got the Telugu rights. As none of the Rajini movies became hits in Telugu recently, it reduced his image as well as the market. But the movie made a decent release and got more than expected number of theatres in the Telugu States. The opening day collections reach 1.6 crores share. On the other hand, '2.O' made 10 crores on the first day in AP and Telangana. But 'Petta' only made 20% of that. On the first day, Vallabhaneni Ashok got 10% of his investment back with the collections. The movie has been receiving an average talk from the audience and the collections will come crashing down soon.
So, it seems like Rajnikanth starrer can't reach the break-even point anytime soon. Though the number of theatres got increased for 'Petta', the movie failed to make good collections.
