Wrong Estimation Raja!

'Raja The Great' had a solo release without any competition at the box office and it has registered decent opening collections. It appears that the test started for the film from the second day. Even though Ravi Teja doesn't have a strong market in the overseas, he is known as a good entertainer overseas who gives energetic performances.

By the time Ravi Teja strengthened his market in the overseas, he has gone through a lean phase. He was away from the films for nearly two years and recently came up with comeback film 'Raja The Great'. First day collections are impressive according to his market but the collections are not so impressive from the next day as per the collections reports. Except for the point, that hero is blind, everything else is a routine commercial film. So, the overseas audience are not so impressed with the film and it is reflecting the dropped collections as per the trade circles.

Forced comedy.. dull songs.. lag in the second half etc. turned out to be working against the film the positive talk is slowly becoming mixed talk. If this continues, the movie will not be able to cross half a million mark in the weekend. If that happens, the distributors will incur losses as they depended on the Ravi Teja image and Dil Raju success rate.

On the other hand, 'Raja The Great' is running successfully in the Telugu states due to the festival season holidays but the collections may drop from Monday because of the less promotions from Dil Raju team. Surprisingly, Raju Gari Gadhi2 collections appeared low initially but the collections picked up now. Nagarjuna different characterisation, Samantha's terrific emotional performance, Thaman's background score became advantages for the film. But Anil Ravipudi- Dil Raju estimation of showing the hero character blind and making the film in a routine manner didn't seem to be working for them. Anyway, we will get full clarity about 'Raja The Great' after the weekend.
