Mega Power Star Ram Charan is presently working on 'Rangasthalam 1985' in the direction of Sukumar. The shooting has been commenced long ago. The movie was supposed to hit the screen in the Diwali season. It was changed to Christmas later.. the recent reports suggest that it will be released in the Sankranthi season but fresh buzz says that Sankranthi release is also doubtful.
The main reason for the delay is visual effects. Ever since 'Baahubali' changed the perception of the audience towards visual effects, they are not impressed with substandard graphics. We have already witnessed the negative impact of visual effects on the recently released 'Spyder'. The audience will be wondering 'Rangasthalam' is a periodical film why does it require visual effects? When the team started the film, they didn't think of graphics. But they understood how difficult is to shoot in the Godavari districts. Even though they have shot for one and half month, they couldn't complete much work.
That's the reason why they have erected village set in Hyderabad and carrying out the shoot. They have to show these scenes as if they have shot on the banks of Godavari. So, they require visual effects to do this job and it might take a long time, hence the delay.
