Legendary playback singer SP Balasubramanyam expressed his displeasure over the fall of standards in Telugu Film Industry.

SP Balu feels sorry to say Tollywood has because fully commercial and lyrical value in the songs is shockingly low. 'An acclaimed director like K Viswanath have no work to do & A good film like 'Mithunam' have no theatres for screening. Since the past couple of years, I haven't watched any Telugu films,' he told.

Sharing his opinion on the present generation playback singers, Balu opined neither filmmakers nor audience were bothered about either lyrical value or diction in the songs. He said people got used to celebration poor or velow-par stuff these days.

There is no denying in the fact that Musical Composition is overshadowing lyrics in songs these days. Except for Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry, Ramajoyagayya Sastry & Anant Sriram, Most of the lyricists weren't up to the mark. To make it worse, Anyone could be a playback singer these days if a composer makes a choice.
