Sankalp Reddy, an young filmmaker impressed everyone with his film, Ghazi, a war at sea film in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, with Rana Daggubati as main lead and many stalwarts in interesting characters.
Now, the director is making another risky attempt with Varun Tej as the hero. The movie will be a complete space thriller and this is will be the first Telugu movie to be set in Space. In Indian languages, sci-fi has been the least explored genre.
There are films like Aditya 369 that explored the concept of time-travel and Chandamama lo Amrutham that explored space travel but a serious blockbuster style attempt has not been done yet.
In Tamil, Jayam Ravi and Shakti Sounder Rajan are making an attempt with Tik Tik Tik and now, Ghazi director is making a serious attempt. The young director made Ghazi in restricted budget of 15 crores and now, he is planning to make this space film in 25 crores.
He wants the quality to be maintained nevertheless. Well, Varun will be taking special training for the astronaut character in Bangkok and USA before the shoot begins as he completed his commitment with Tholi Prema project.
