What Rajamouli did isn't right!: Sridevi

SS Rajamouli accused Sridevi of placing unreasonable demands to play Sivagami role in 'Baahubali' franchise during a recent interview. For the first time ever, The Evergreen Actress has given a clarification about the whole issue.
Sridevi: 'I am repeatedly asked about it whether I am in Chennai or Mumbai or Delhi. I don't like to talk about it! I missed many films because of various reasons and some of the them even became huge blockbusters. But, I only felt may be it's not in my destiny. Neither Me or those Directors never spoke about it publicly. I felt it's not a right thing! Somebody has done that character...shooting got completed...both Part 1 & Part 2 have already released. I don't understand why he talked about it now! I haven't spoken about it in any interview but once for all I wish to issue a clarification in this interview'.
'Had I really placed unacceptable demands such as Rs 8 crore remuneration, entire floor in a star hotel and business class tickets, I wouldn't have completed 300 films and survived for 50 years. They would have sent me packing my bags if I'm like that! I had done 24 films with K Raghavendra Rao. Producers like Ashwini Dutt had repeatedly cast me in their films. You feel bad when you hear something like this & you really get hurt! Whether Producer has passed this wrong information to Rajamouli? You get such thoughts!'
'To reveal such matters on a public platform, I think it isn't in good taste. My Well-wisher has shared the link of Rajamouli's interview. Though I heard about such comments in the past, I had never taken it seriously. But, I was shocked and upset upon hearing the comments of Rajamouli in the interview. I came to know that he is calm and dignified Director. I liked his movie 'Eega' very much and I was very happy to work with him. He is a great technician. But, I got hurt upon seeing him speak like that on a public platform. Definitely, What he spoke isn't true! Why would I still be here if I am like that! Even My Husband Boney Kapoor is a Producer and he is aware of the struggles a Producer face. So, He won't place such demands. It's really not fair to spread blatant lies. But, I wish him all the best...He should make many more great films like Baahubali'.
