Is He On Right Track As A Comedy Hero?

Whenever comedians achieve star status they will test their luck as heroes. This trend has been there in Telugu for a long time.. and it is still continuing. But the old generation comedians used to continue comedy roles as well as hero roles simultaneously. But this generation comedians are not following that route.
If we talk about Sunil, he has stopped doing comedian roles and opting for only full-fledged hero roles. Another comedian Saptagiri is following the same route. Saptagiri tasted failure with his debut hero film 'Saptagiri Express'. Even though the makers claimed that their film is a hit, trade circles are not satisfied with the collection figures.
Another comedian Srinivas Reddy became a hero with horror comedy 'Geethanjali' and scored a big hit with his debut hero film. But he is moulding his career intelligently unlike other comedian turned heroes. He is doing hero roles as well as comedian roles and impressing the audience by taking inspiration from yesteryear comedians.
He achieved success as a hero with films like 'Jayammu Nischayammura' and the recent release 'Anando Brahma'. Industry seniors are commenting that Srinivas Reddy is going on the right track till now. Rather than focusing on four fights- six songs format films to prove his heroism, he is focusing on good stories. Other comedian turned heroes are faltering in their career in the same aspect. We have to wait and see whether Srinivas Reddy follows the same route to increase his market or not.
