Sumanth seems to have developed a liking for research off late. After 'Idam Jagath' which throws a light on other face of media, He arrived with a movie based on mysterious deaths related to ancient temple. 'Subrahmanyapuram' reminds us of 'Karthikeya' starring Nikhil & Colors Swathi. Movie Buffs will be curious to know how different it is from the Chandoo Mondeti-directorial!
Eesha Rebba plays Female Lead in 'Subrahmanyapuram'. Music is by Shekar Chandra. Santhossh Jagarlapudi directed this suspense thriller. Beeram Sudhakara Reddy bankrolled it.
Protagonist going against the God or belief of the devotees is the interesting element in 'Subrahmanyapuram'. Success of this Sumanth-starrer depends on how well this point has been executed.
Better if Akkineni Hero continues to attempt concept-based films such as 'Idam Jagath' and 'Subrahmanyapuram' rather than commercial subjects. At some point, He will be able to improve his success rate gradually.
