Director Sukumar is known for his craft in filmmaking. Apart from the making, he presents his heroes in a unique way that audience will immediately fall in love with the new characterisation. Sukku has done the same with Charan by making him sound engineer Chitti Babu. The promos of 'Rangasthalam' have struck a chord with the audience and Sukku is getting huge appreciation.
While speaking about how he got the idea of 'Rangasthalam', he said that "I have been traveling abroad in search of scripts but I was not finding the real emotions. The innocence, real emotions of my childhood memories came to my mind and I have immediately realised that my roots are in the village and I belong here. That's how I got the story of 'Rangasthalam'. I have lived a tension free life for 25 years in Rajolu. When I was writing the story, I was more genuine because I had a chance to relive those moments."
"It's like I was searching for my true identity and reinventing myself. The process rejuvenated me. Rangasthalam is close to my heart". While speaking about Charan, Sukumar said that "Charan's emotions are genuine and he has elevated the character graph. Charan believed in the script and its rawness. He owned the script."
