Taran Adarsh Lashes Out At Bollywood Makers

Taran Adarsh is a popular film critic and trade analyst who predominantly focuses on Bollywood. He started focusing on South films in the recent past and he is reporting each and every update regarding the South star hero films especially after the historical success of 'Bahubali' series.
Except one or two hits Bollywood is witnessing substandard films these days and audience are outrightly rejecting those films. One can understand the situation of Hindi films, as most of them are unable to touch even Rs.100 crore mark with a wider reach than non-Hindi films. Taran recently lashed out at the filmmakers saying that it is time for introspection. Taking Twitter he expressed his opinions in a strong manner.
He tweeted that "The Hindi film industry is going through a turbulent phase. What's scary/worrisome is that a majority of films are non-starters at the BO. Instead of blaming the content, we are blaming the audience for staying away. Really, is the audience to blame? Or should we look within? The viewer is staying away from substandard stuff. Why will they dig into their pocket, spend their money on films that don't excite them? While most Hindi films are taking a beating at BO, non-Hindi films [Punjabi, South, Marathi, Bengali, Hollywood] are getting the numbers. The ratio of flops is at an all-time high. For every Hit/success, we follow it up with a string of flops. Time to introspect. Time to get real!"
