Summer 2017 could have been a huge disaster if not for the mighty success of 'Baahubali: The Conclusion'. 'Guru', 'Keshava' and 'Ra Randoi Veduka Chudam' are the other three films which made most out of this holiday season to emerge as hits.
Notable Films such as Katamarayudu, Mister, Radha, Babu Baga Busy, Venkatapuram, Fashion Designer S/o Ladies Tailor and Lanka have bitten dust. Katamarayudu is the biggest flop in terms of revenue. While the Theatrical Business is close to Rs 90 crore, This Pawan-starrer collected a share of just around Rs 60 crore. Varun Tej's 'Mister' ended as a double disaster. Sharwanand's 'Radha' is decent in first weekend but didn't draw crowds thereafter. 'Babu Bba Busy', 'Venkatapuram', 'Fashion Designer S/o Ladies Tailor' and 'Lanka' hardly created any impact at the Ticket Window.
'Andhagadu' isn't up to the mark though it had a good opening day. Even the hit combo of Raj Tharun & Hebah Patel didn't fetch the success. Whereas, Last week's release 'Ami Tumi' is able generate decent word-of-mouth but chances of its success look bleak.
