Tollywood Shut Down From March 1st Next Year
X
In a shocking move, Telugu Film Industry called for a shut down of all the activities of 24 Crafts. Even Theatres in Telugu States will remain closed during this period. Why such a tough call has been taken?

Digital Process has taken over the Projection System which existed until a decade ago. Digital Service Providers such as Qube, UFO and PXD are commanding this medium. Telugu Producers Council have few issues with these Digital Players as they weren't complying with the orders passed by the Industry. Hence, Film Chamber of Commerce decided to shut down from March 1st, 2018.

Several Biggies including Bharat Anu Nenu, Rangasthalam 1985, 2 Point 0 and Naa Peru Surya are scheduled to release during Summer next year. If the strike gets extended, Release Dates of many films could be postponed. On the flip side, Lakhs of Junior Artists, Film Workers & Theatre Staff would suffer due to shutdown.

In 2010, A Shut Down took place in TFI after talks between Producers Council and Film Employees Federation over wage hikes failed. But now, The strike is gonna be much bigger with the involvement of Theater Owners. Hope, Tollywood Biggies & Digital Service Providers reach a compromise before the deadline ends.
