Karan Johar has become a director with Shah Rukh Khan's blessings and as he has a good producer father, Yash Johar to back him. He found huge success with his first film, Kuch Kuch Hota Hein.
He later became one of the biggest makers with Kabhi Kushi Kabhi Gham. He took over production from his father when he knew that his father is going to die due to cancer.
From then on he went on to develop Dharma Productions so well they today, it is a big studio in Indian Cinema.
He is looking to expand his production house to South as well, but he needs actors who have Pan-Indian appeal so that he can make Hindi films and South Language films as well with them.
He has set his eyes on Prabhas with the help of Rana Daggubati but Prabhas is not showing much interest in doing direct Hindi films for his plans to work.
So, now he is looking at younger stars like Akhil, Vijay Devarakonda it seems. Vijay who developed a huge female following is also looking to expand his market in Hindi as he has a good one in Tamil, already.
The talks between Karan Johar and Vijay Devarakonda are initiated and the deal between them will be finalized soon, it seems.
