Vijay Deverakonda is the latest sensation in Tollywood. Though he scored a super hit with 'Pelli Choopulu', it is 'Arjun Reddy' which made him the heartthrob of the youth audience. Vijay is signed multiple films even before 'Arjun Reddy' happened to him and 'Taxiwala' is his next release.
'Taxiwala' is jointly produced by UV Pictures and GA 2 banner in the direction of Rahul Sankrityayan. The movie is being made on a shoestring budget of Rs.3 crores because Vijay signed it before the release of 'Arjun Reddy'. Even his remuneration was Rs. 30 lakhs which is very less if we consider his present market. The craze of Vijay Deverakonda is so high that the entire investment has been recovered just by selling satellite and digital rights even before the release of the film.
As per the latest update from the film circles, Vijay Deverakonda is testing his luck as a distributor with his film now. He has reportedly acquired the overseas rights of 'Taxiwala' for Rs. 80 lakhs. As Vijay's two films 'Pelli Choopulu' and 'Arjun Reddy' grossed over one million dollars in overseas, it is going to be a profitable deal for Vijay. Let us wait and see how much profit he earns through distribution.
