Rajinikanth has been continuing as No.1 down South for decades. While the term 'Non-Baahubali' has been used widely after the release of epic war drama, 'Non-Rajini' is term used when it comes to drawing comparisons between Top Stars.
In South, Disasters of Rajinikanth collect more than the successful films of most Star Heroes. The revenues will be beyond expectations if a Rajini-starrer hits the bull's eye.
Tamil star Vijay is posing a threat to the domination of Rajinikanth. Films such as 'Thuppakki', 'Kaththi' and 'Mersal' has increased his stature. And now, 'Sarkar' is shaking the Box Office despite mixed reports.
'Sarkar' is the Fourth Biggest Day 1 Earner among all South Indian Films. This Vijay-starrer stands only next to 'Baahubal 2' (Rs 214 crore), 'Kabali' (Rs 87.5 crore) and 'Baahubali 1' (Rs 73 crore) by collecting a Gross of Rs 66.9 crore. Day 1 Share of this AR Murugadoss directorial is about 37 crore.
In Tamil Nadu, 'Sarkar' had even surpassed the Day 1 revenue of 'Kabali'. Rajinikanth managed to claim No.1 Position only with the Worldwide revenue.
In Telugu States, An impressive Gross of Rs 3.6 crore and Share of Rs 2.3 crore was achieved on First Day by 'Sarkar'.
'Sarkar' collected a mammoth Gross of over Rs 100 crore Worldwide within the first two days. It's all set to be the career best grosser of Vijay if the cash registers continue to ring till the end of weekend.
