Vijayashanthi started her career in early 80's and became a action film star with the tag, Lady Amitabh after Kartavyam, release.
She scored hits like Prathighatana, Osey Ramulamma, Mondi Mogudu Penki Pellam where she was either main lead or lady lead equal to male.
Before these films she was part of films like Koduku Diddina Kapuram, Challenge and Kondaveeti Raja which showcased her emotional, seductive and even glamorous sides.
She was known as the best dancer among the heroines who acted with Chiranjeevi even though Radha and Bhanupriya also got huge name for being agile and fast. She could match expression of Chiranjeevi with his grace, speed and agility.
She could fit beside Krishna, Balakrishna and Chiranjeevi as a female lead. So, when she came back to acting after 13 years, many are looking forward to see her on screen in a Mahesh film.
She last acted with Mahesh 30 years ago, in Koduku Diddina Kapuram, directed by Krishna, himself. It became a hit at the time. She is acting with Mahesh in Sarileru Neekevvaru, directed by Anil Ravipudi, produced by Dil Raju, Anil Sunkara, Mahesh. Movie is releasing for Sankranthi, 2020.
