Nagarjuna is the only Senior Hero other than Chiranjeevi to generate good openings in the Overseas market. While Films such as 'Manam' and 'Oopiri' joined $1 million club, 'Soggade Chinni Nayana' came so close to this feat inspite of being a village-backdrop flick.
Movie Buffs, Buyers & Trade Analysts expected 'Manmadhudu 2' to receive good openings irrespective of the reviews and word-of-mouth in Overseas considering the genre. Unfortunately, This Rahul Ravindran-directorial is no where close to the expectations.
First Weekend revenue is terrible to say the least. 'Manmadhudu 2' could manage only $215k (Premieres: $82.5K; Fri: $47.5k; Sat: $62k; Sun: $25k) by the end first weekend.
There is no way 'Manmadhudu 2' will recover from here. This flick will remain as a costly failure for Tollywood King.
