When Fazil Thrilled With Vijayendra Prasad

Senior writer Vijayendra Prasad is back in the limelight in the Kollywood as Vijay's 'Mersal' is releasing in three days. It is known that Vijayendra Prasad provided a story for 'Mersal'. In a recent interview given to a Tamil web channel, Vijayendra Prasad spoken on several things. He shared an interesting incident happened with Malayalam director Fazil during the interview.
It is known that Vijayendra Prasad penned the story for Bollywood blockbuster 'Bhajrangi Bhaijaan'. He has already revealed long back that he has inspired from Chiranjeevi film 'Pasivadi Pranam' for 'Bhajrangi Bhaijaan'. 'Pasivadi Pranam' is a remake of Malayalam super hit 'Poovinu Puthiya Poonthennal' starring Mammootty. The story was penned and directed by Fazil. As the movie became a super hit in Malayalam, it has been remade into Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi later.
Remembering the inspiration, he said that he met director Fazil in Kerala sometime after the release of 'Bhajrangi Bhaijaan' and the Malayalam director was all praise for Vijayendra Prasad for penning such a beautiful story. He asked Viajayendra "How could you write such a story? Then Vijayendra replied, "Sir.. this is your story". Fazil was surprised that how could this be his story. Then Vijayendra explained to him that he has taken inspiration from his film. Fazil was thrilled to hear Vijayendra words and tightly hugged him saying that the did a great job.
