Why Is Mahesh Not Playing Seetharamaraju?

When this question popped up to SS Rajamouli, he laughed out loud and said that when he asked fans of Mahesh Babu, "Will they be interested in seeing him as James Bond or Alluri Seetharamaraju?" He got an answer more in favour of James Bond.
Hence, SS Rajamouli did not want to take Mahesh to carry the younger version of the character that his father Superstar Krishna, made immortal on Telugu screen, Alluri Seetharamaraju.
Rajamouli after watching Motorcycle Dairies, got an idea to make a movie about Raju and then reveal that he is none other than Alluri Seetharamaraju.
But the maker did not want to stick to just that and added Komaram Bheem to the mix and thought, it will be different to explore such legendary freedom fighters younger days that are not recorded in history.
Well, as we are used to seeing actors' sons try their father's iconic characters on-screen many, after knowing that RRR has Alluri Seetharamaraju as one of the main leads, felt that Mahesh should have been in the film, playing the character.
Anyways, Ram Charan will play the character. And SS Rajamouli indirectly said that whenever he will make a movie with Mahesh, he will make a James Bond type spy film, with him. Isn't that more exciting for fans than him in RRR? We feel so.
