Seems like, Zee Telugu is relying more on Mahesh Babu these days to effectively face the competition from other leading entertainment channels MAA, Gemini & ETV. This is the channel which acquired the Satellite Rights of 'Srimanthudu' for a bomb last year. The TV Premieres of this entertainer fetched fantastic TRPs only to help it make profits.
And again, Zee Telugu won the race of 'Brahmotsavam' Satellite Rights despite heavy competition. Though the amount shelled out by the channel wasn't disclosed for now, It is learnt that rights were sold out for Mahesh's career best price.
'Brahmotsavam' is a family entertainer. Such films have always generated mind-blowing TRPs and that's why Zee Telugu didn't bother to pay so much.
As of now, 'Brahmotsavam' shoot is commencing in Hyderabad. Mahesh Babu, Samantha & Character Artists were filming some pivotal scenes.
