Corpses Of 13 monkeys Found In A water Tank

While we are still unable to come out of the sad incident of Kerala Elephant's death which created huge outrage, yet another heartbreaking incident took place at Cachar district of Assam where 13 monkeys died in doubtful circumstances.
The dead bodies of the monkeys were found at a water tank and the locals are suspecting that they might have fed poisoned food. A police complaint was registered and the investigation is underway.
The locals who found the monkeys floating in a water tank immediately informed the forest department officials. They have sent the corpses of the monkeys for a post-mortem.
The Karimganj Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Jalnur Ali said termed the incident as sad and said that they have already started an investigation into this.
