In the view of lockdown, the Indian government has requested the US government to respond positively on the H1B visa holders.

As per the request made by the Indian government, the Trump government has shown it's generous gesture towards the H1B visa holders. It has extended the visa deadline for eight more months in the wake of the global pandemic.

In America, there are nearly 3 lakh Indians are working with the H1B visa's. If they lose their job, they have to return to India within two months, but with the lockdown, they cannot fly back to the motherland.

So, the Indian government appealed the US government to extend the Visa deadline to 90 days more. Surprisingly, the US government has extended more than the asked time. It extended the deadline to 240 days(Eight Months). It is a huge relief to the techies who have lost their jobs and struggling to come back.

Once an H1B visa holder is expelled from a company, he needs to seek another job within two months. If not, his visa will be cancelled.

Now as per the USICS announcement, the people whoever lost their jobs will have eight months of time, and in these eight they will have all the equal rights which a rightful H1B visa holders owns. The applications forms according to these made available in the online sites USICS said
