Nizamabad MP Aravind Dharmapuri has achieved what KCR's daughter and former Nizamabad MP Kavitha Kalwakuntla could not achieve during her five year stint. Nizamabad now has the regional board and an extension centre of the Spices Board. This has been a long standing demand of the turmeric farmers of Nizamabad.

Union Minister Piyush Goel has said that instead of an "Ambassador" car, the Central Government has given a swank, new “Benz” car to the turmeric farmers of Nizamabad. He said the demand for the turmeric board is passé. What Nizamabad has now got is much bigger and more useful. By Tuesday evening, the notification for the setting up of the Spices Board regional office was issued.

According to Union Minister for Commerce Piyush Goel, the divisional office of the Speces Board in Nizamabad would now be upgraded into a regional board. The centre would help in promoting turmeric production and trade in Nizamabad, Karimnagar and Adilabad and would help in improving the intrastructre in the region through TIES and AEP schemes. The board would also facilitate a better coordination between the Union ministries of Agriculture, Food processing, consumer affairs and the commercial department. The Government also hopes that this would help develop this region as the Spices Hub of the state.
