KCR Protected Them, But Will Chandrababu Do The Same

Like it or lump it, but KCR has given tickets to all those who left their parties and joined the TRS. Despite anti-incumbency and despite opposition from the loyal TRS cadre, he has stuck to his guns and has given tickets to the defectors. He will also campaign for these candidates very hard. Getting them elected to the Assembly would be his biggest task and he is all set to face the toughest test yet.

Chandrababu had then strongly criticized KCR encouraging defections from the TDP. He said this was unethical and illegal. But, then, he too did the same thing in Andhra Pradesh. He encouraged defections right left and centre. He had taken in 22 turncoats and made some of them ministers too. Even these defections was roundly slammed and the people in general detested this floor-crossing. But, the big question is how will Chandrababu treat these turncoats?

Will he stand by them for joining the TDP? Will he renominate all of them and bat for them? Will he take a leaf out of KCR's strategy and give the defectors seats? But, Chandrababu is known to be very foxy when it comes to strategy. He may give tickets only to those who are winning horses and leave the remaining in the lurch. That's typical of Chandrababu's use and throw policy. Hence most of those who defected are now spending sleepless nights as they are neither here nor there. They are worried that Chandrababu might dump them as he may not have much use for them.
