Well, as a model, she became a star but as an actress, Kriti Sanon, is still trying her best to become the popular star. But she has been followed by box office debacles till now.

Her high profile movies like Dilwale with Shah Rukh Khan, Raabta with Sushanth Singh Rajput, even regional films with Mahesh Babu, Nenokkadine and Chaitanya, Dohchay, did not work at the box office. The actress has then tried a new film, Bareilly ki Barfi, a small budget film with an universal content and actors like Rajkumar Rao and Ayushmann Khurana.

The movie got some positive feedback due to simplistic narration and uncomplicated story-telling. The love story too connected with young audiences and the movie became a hit. Finally, Kriti got a success and she is looking to enjoy it to the fullest. Apparently, the actress who is busy with a brand ad shoot in Spain, wants to stay back for few more days and enjoy a quick vacation to celebrate the success. Post her return to India, she will join Farzi shooting, her next film.
