Legendary actress Savitri is very close to the hearts of Telugu audience and they refer her as Mahanati(great actress). Young director Nag Ashwin has taken up the responsibility of presenting Savitri biopic with the title 'Mahanati' and he has been working on the prestigious project for quite some time.
The makers have released a motion poster of the film yesterday featuring Vijay Devarakonda and Samantha. Vijay is playing Vijay Antony role in the film and Samantha is playing the role of Madhuravani. The motion poster has already impressed the audience. Meanwhile, the makers of 'Mahanati' are getting ready for the teaser release tomorrow.. i.e., on April 14. Considering the huge interest in the film, the teaser will surely storm the internet tomorrow.
It is known that Keerthy Suresh is playing the role of Savitri in the film. Mohan Babu is playing SV Rangarao character. The movie has an ensemble cast of Dulquer Salman, Shalini Pandey, Prakash Raj, Rajendra Prasad, Malavika Nair, Bhanu Priya, Srinivas Avasarala etc. Directors Krish Jagarlamudi, Tharun Bhascker are also playing cameos in the film. 'Mahanati' is slated for the release on May 9.
