US President Donald Trump who visits India next week has downplayed India's expectation of a trade deal. He went to say that "We can have a trade deal with India, but I'm really saving the big deal for later on."

"We're doing a very big trade deal with India. We'll have it. I don't know if it'll be done before the election, but we'll have a very big deal with India," he added.

Donald Trump also expressed his dissatisfaction with the US not getting treated by India and even dubbed India as "tariff king".

"The stadium, I understand, is sort of semi under construction, but it's going to be the largest stadium in the world. So it's going to be very exciting. But he says between the stadium and the airport, we'll have about 7 million people. So it's going to be very exciting. I hope you all enjoy it," Trump said.

For more than one year both the countries have been trying to strike a deal with Ministers and officials of both India and the US discussing many domestic and global issues.

In 2018-19, India's exports to the US were $52.4 billion, while imports were $ 35.5 billion. The trade deficit saw a dip from $21.3 billion in 2017-18 to $16.9 billion in 2018-19.
